The Herons culinary team masterfully redefines American cooking by infusing classic concepts translated with local, seasonal ingredients and precise technique, brightening each ingredient's flavor and purpose. Select from the three- or four-course prix fixe menu or indulge in a special eight-course chef's tasting menu showcasing The Umstead's culinary farm and drawing inspiration from the art and nature theme of the property. Recently rated five stars by food critic Greg Cox, this unique experience begins with a ceremonial tea service followed by eight delectable courses, each showcasing Executive Chef Steven Greene’s approach to food and driven by his choice and presentation.
