  • Sweetcorn and Swine: The Familiar Supper Club

    Join pastry chef, Evan Sheridan, and chef de cuisine, John Childers, as they celebrate North Carolina’s bounty in the first installment of the Familiar Supper Club, Sweetcorn and Swine. Hosted at Top of the Hill Restaurant and Brewery, the event will include signature TOPO cocktails, snacks, and a four course dinner, all intricately focused and in accordance with the concept of a Chef’s responsibility to utilize what is provided by North Carolina’s farmers on their own accord. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Abundance NC to assist in further growing the network of viable farmers within North Carolina’s Food Shed. This event is more than farm to fork; it is nose to tail and leaf to root!

  • UMSTEAD UNCORKED: WINES OF PORTUGAL

    For quite some time now, Portugal has been making noteworthy reds from grapes like Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Trincadeira. In this past year's Wine Spectator Top 100 list, three out of the top ten wines were from Portugal. Join us as we explore why this region is arguably one of the hottest up and coming areas for world-class reds.

    Reservations are required for Umstead Uncorked. To reserve your space, call 919-447-4000. Tastings will occur in the Fireplace Lounge from 6-7pm. $40 per person.
