The Umstead

William B. Umstead was a former Senator and Governor of the state of North Carolina. The William B. Umstead State Park, next to our property, is an oasis of nature and tranquility that allow you to escape the pressures of everyday life. The Umstead is a pampering, anti-stress experience which begins with a Body Glow to nourish and revitalize the health of your skin, followed by a relaxing Swedish Massage.
Riverstone
100 minutes $260
Reedy Creek meanders through neighboring Umstead State Park, its clear, pure water skipping over smooth stones in its path. It is an oasis of natural beauty. Our Riverstone experience is a combination of a full body 50 minute Hot Stone Massage followed by a Thermal Water Facial, for an almost ethereal Umstead Spa experience.
Wildflower
This package offered from the Umstead Spa is created just for you because you design it. This custom-built package allows you to choose the treatments you want to experience. Pick three or more spa treatments for the day and receive 10% off your complete session.
Smoky Quartz

Found naturally abundant in our native woodlands, the Smoky Quartz is thought to be a gentle grounding stone that instills balance and harmony. This package offer from the Umstead Spa combines a few of our most soothing and gratifying treatments, the Swedish Massage, Classic Manicure and Classic Pedicure.
Long Leaf Pine

North Carolina’s state tree, the long leaf pine, has deep sinking roots and needles which grow in bundles of three. This classic trio of services includes a relaxing full body Swedish Massage, a renewing European Facial and a Classic Pedicure.
Dogwood

Named for the noble state flower of North Carolina, the flowering Dogwood tree, this Umstead Spa package begins with a Sports Massage to take away your aches and pains. The finishing touch is a Gentlemen’s Facial to soothe away any remaining tension and get you ready for the rest of your day.
A Walk in the Woods

Nothing is more inspiring than an unrushed stroll through the forest. Let us take you on an escape with a day devoted to replenishing your body and giving your mind a breath of fresh air. The day will include a full body Babassu Sugar Scrub to reveal healthy and refreshed skin, a Swedish Massage, a renewing Thermal Water Facial, a Classic Manicure and a Classic Pedicure. Lunch from our Spa menu and a glass of champagne are included in this special package offer from the Umstead Spa. Offered Sunday - Friday.
Signature Series
The Umstead Spa is pleased to offer its regular clientele the opportunity to receive one complimentary service with the purchase of a series of five of the same service. Please inquire with Spa Reception.
Herons Lunch Package
Rejuvenate inside and out with the 50 minute spa treatment of your choice, followed by a special lunch in Herons. Executive Chef Scott Crawford pulls bright, unexpected flavors from the best of North Carolina farms to create an artful and delicious menu. It is the perfect ending to a morning at the Umstead Spa. Please note, Spa treatment and lunch in Herons are separate transactions. Herons Lunch Package is not available on Sundays.
