European Facial

Cleansing, exfoliation, masking and hydration are all of the basic ingredients for good, healthy skin. The European Facial encompasses all of these elements and is designed for all skin types. Upon the completion of a skin analysis, our esthetician will personalize this facial to correct and restore your skin to its optimum health.
Vitamin C Facial
50 minutes $120
This facial is appropriate for all skin types. Invigorate your skin with the rejuvenating powers of Vitamin C, especially formulated to illuminate your complexion. During this facial, you will feel tensions ease away thanks to the calming citrus essential oil vapor and deep relaxing facial massage.
GemStone Organic Facial
50 minutes $120
Using precious stones, this facial offered at the Umstead Spa combines the benefits of minerals and stone massage as well as cleansing, exfoliating and masking. Minerals have a significant effect in cooling the skin, strengthening capillaries and protecting the cells through balancing the immune system of the skin. Gemstone wands used in this facial include: Sodalite — Increases cell hydration, boosts immune system, reduces inflammation. Picture Jasper — Heals tissue, keeps you grounded, aids in inflammation. Serpentine — Aids in cell regeneration. Amazonite — Heals trauma to the skin, stimulates cell regeneration.
Gentlemen’s Facial

This facial uses skin care products created especially for a gentleman’s skin. The application of warm, moist towels throughout the facial plus a series of relaxing massages for the scalp, face, neck and shoulders will leave you with a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. Your skin will feel clean, hydrated and refreshed.
Thermal Water Facial
50 minutes $120
Experience a facial at the Umstead Spa using the pure, natural, thermal waters from the “Queen of the Waters” spring in Spa, Belgium. These products will leave your skin sparkling with radiance. After a facial cleansing, your esthetician will gently spray layers of thermal water on your face and neck and follow with a thermal gel mask. The relaxing finale is the application of a radiance ampoule, thus leaving your skin quenched, revitalized and refreshed.
Collagen Intensive Anti-Aging Facial
75 Minutes $155
This customized anti-aging facial packs a powerful punch of peptides, antioxidants, firming collagen and hyaluronic filling agents. Reveal a more youthful skin as if you have turned back the hands of time. A manual mineral microdermabrasion of volcanic rock and salicylic acid will prepare the skin to receive the “injection –like” effects of our wrinkle filling serums. Continue with a unique facial massage with the patented elasticity revealer followed by a collagen lifting mask to plump and repair the skin. The results may help you to appear to look years younger.
Custom Peel
50 minutes $130
This peel lifts away dead surface cells and increases skin cell activity, thus revealing a more uniform complexion and softer, smoother skin. Your Umstead Spa esthetician will select the appropriate peel for your skin: Glycolic, Salicylic or Enzyme.
Skin Perfecting Facial
75 minutes $155
This skin rejuvenating facial combines healing herbal products, a peel suited for your skin’s needs, and a Vitamin C mask to boost your skin’s natural radiance and beauty. Designed for all ages, this facial helps equalize skin pigmentations, promotes skin firming, helps fight breakouts and aids in moisturizing. Your esthetician at the Umstead Spa will help you choose between an enzyme, glycolic or salicylic peel to reveal your glowing complexion.
You will also enjoy a luxurious hand and foot massage while the mask is penetrating and replenishing your skin. Please enjoy the sauna, steam room, and whirlpool before your peel to avoid facial inflammation afterwards. (Note: Vitamin A Crème and Retinoid should not be used five days prior to receiving this facial. You should not experience this facial if you are pregnant.)
The Nourishing Treatment

This treatment is ideal for dehydrated, aging and environmentally damaged skin types. The use of specific cleansing, toning, masque and protective products will help to leave a healthier, firmer appearance to the skin.
Acne Treatment
50 minutes $120
This is designed for the treatment of inflamed, irritated, acne prone skin. This treatment includes a detoxifying masque and soothing corrective and protective products. It is ideal for the oil, congested skin type that is sensitive to other products.
Eye Contour Therapy
Added to any facial $30
Great for all skin types, this treatment offered at the Umstead Spa was created to help tighten and smooth the skin around the eyes, reduce puffiness, minimize fine lines and decrease the appearance of dark circles. Our estheticians incorporate a specialized massage technique for a great “pick me up” for the eye area. The Eye Contour Therapy can only be combined with a facial.
Organic Lip Therapy
Added to any facial $25
This unique Lip Exfoliation Therapy helps to revive and protect your lips. Your lips will be exfoliated with an organic sugar and then followed with a moisturizing Organic Lip Balm. This may be added in conjunction to any facial.
